Black Canyon Inn & Twin Owls Steakhouse Wedding {Brian & Shannon}

Spring weddings in Colorado are always fun!  While everyone plans for the amazing 60-70 degree weather, there's always a backup plan for 2 feet of snow.  For Brian and Shannon, that was just the case!

Two weeks before their wedding Shannon and I were talking about the wedding day and plans for photos at which point I mentioned that we won't even worry about the weather until 3-7 days prior to the wedding because of how quickly it can change.  With Brian and Shannon living out of state and all of their guests driving in, she was keep an eye on the weather, but never once showed concerned!

As promised, 7 days prior, I let her know it was looking like rain, but again, that could change overnight, so plan for anything.  With the wedding drawing near, we just knew that the weather was going to change!  The days leading up to their wedding had Estes Park getting 3-7 inches, two days before, then 5-13 inches the day of and less than an inch the day following their wedding.

Shannon was beyond excited!  There's something about a winter wedding that you simply can't replicate unless there's snow.  Boy did they get snow!!

As we arrived at Twin Owls, we were so excited that they truly had as much snow as we hoped for!  Guests at Black Canyon Inn were building snowmen, having snowball fights and our bride and groom were tucked away getting ready.  As you walked into each cabin, fireplaces were on, the sound of laughter filled the rooms and everything just felt perfect.

To Brian & Shannon, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of such an amazing day.  With 5 amazing children and a wonderful story of love and support, we are so glad you allowed us to capture your wedding and meeting your amazing family.  We wish you years of love and happiness!
