Private Cabin Breckenridge Wedding {Brian & Lucy}

This year has been amazing for our early weddings as each and everyone has had AMAZING snow on the day of the wedding!

With Brian & Lucy's intimate wedding set in an amazing Breckenridge cabin, we were watching the weather intently. Winter storms were supposed to land in Colorado with record breaking snow fall and with their family traveling from Florida, it didn't look good.

On Wednesday before their wedding, Colorado as they knew it was shut down.  Highways were closed, DIA was closed and Lucy was in complete shock.  As the snow fell and family started to receive cancellation notices from their airlines, everyone was scrambling to find a way to Colorado.

Family members were trying to get as close to Colorado so they could drive the rest of the way.  Some friends made it to Texas, only to find that they'd have to drive from Dallas to Breckenridge (13 hours if they were lucky).  Flights weren't scheduled to be back on time until Sunday, the day AFTER their wedding.

Not to mention, it's the busiest time of the year with spring skiing in Colorado and Easter weekend.  Lucy was under more stress than most brides would ever fathom.  As Kris and I packed and headed to Breck the day before their wedding, we weren't sure what to anticipate for their wedding.  Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles, welcoming hugs and a bride who was grinning from ear to ear.

After all of the stress leading up to their big day, all but two people made the journey from Florida to the gorgeous mountains of Colorado.

To Brian & Lucy, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your happily ever after.  Your wedding will be the NUMBER ONE wedding everyone remembers, because of what each family went through to be by your side on your day.  That tells you a lot about the love surrounding you.  Enjoy this journey, there's nothing better than sharing it with the one you love!
