Breckenridge Engagement
We had the honor of photographing Leslie's older sister and her husbands wedding almost two years ago at Della Terra in Estes Park. When we received the call to photograph another Newton daughter, we were beyond excited! Leslie and Andrew will tie the knot at YaYa Farm and Orchard in Longmont this summer. For their engagement session, they had two requests: snow and their dogs!
In March we were enjoying 70-80 degree weather on the Front Range with no snow insight, so we made plans to head to Breckenridge for spring snow. The weather was AMAZING!
We met Leslie and Andrew at a friends cabin just a few yards from the slopes. As we made our way "over the river and through the woods" we hit the slopes just as the last handful of skiers were coming down the mountain. We had an amazing time photographing them, falling in the snow as Spring made it's way to Breck. As soon as we added the dogs, we had an entirely new dynamic!!! After two hours in the car, the fresh air hit and as soon as the dogs saw the snow it was all over! It was hilarious watching the dogs attempt to navigate the depths of the snow or fetching snow balls.
The love these two have for each other shines so brightly and they simply radiate around each other. With Andrew living full time in Steamboat (their soon to be new home) and Leslie finishing out her single years in Denver, this wedding will be filled with joy, love and so much laughter!
An engagement session wouldn't be final without getting stuck in 4 feet of snow followed by a snowball fight!
I love the dog hugs!
