Black Leg Ranch Wedding {Jake & Kelsi}

Over the last year, we've noticed that of more than 80% of our clients are destination brides and grooms. This special group of people are trusting us, sight unseen to capture the most amazing day of their lives and Jake & Kelsi were no different.

As we started down the path to planning their wedding timeline, Kelsi thought it was fun that we did a Father Daughter First look, in addition to a couples first look. Little did she know that the small moments with her dad would bring so much emotion. As she walked up behind her daddy, the tears started falling. It's that moment that every dad dreads and loves all in one breath.

As Kelsi wiped her tears, caught her breath and prepared to see Jake, she was all smiles. No tears, just pure joy! This was the moment she'd dreamt of. Her wedding day was here, the man of her dreams is standing in front of her, their baby girls were waiting to show mommy and daddy their pretty dresses and they were surrounded by everyone they love. She clenched her fists in a nervous fashion as Jake took a deep breath and turned to see his bride. All giggles and looks to make any man's heart sink, it was amazing to see these two together.

I believe God gives us what we need and it was amazing to watch Jake and Kelsi interact with their gorgeous baby girls. The way he kneels down to them when they speak, the way he literally wraps Kelsi in his love and the kindness they show everyone they meet. Although we had never met, we were welcomed with open arms.

To Jake & Kelsi, keep doing what you're doing. They say your kids are a direct reflection of who we are and your girls are so amazing. To watch the way you speak to them, see your love for them and see the way you share your love for each other was amazing! Thank you for allowing us to capture just a small portion of your reality.
