Della Terra Mountain Chateau in August {Jordan & Tiffany}
There are so many memories that come flowing back from Jordan and Tiffany's wedding, whether its the story of almost losing her mom and then her dad, but the most incredible moment had to be the moment "I Drive Your Truck" came on.
As a wedding photographer, we are privileged to be allowed into our clients lives. We see them during their greatest highs and the moments when their lives come crashing down. During their wedding, I didn't think there were any additional surprise until the DJ elbowed me and said, "you're gonna wanna get this next dance." I looked up at him confused (of course we're going to photograph it but WHY).
Jordan lost his best friend years ago and not only did Tiffany think to include him, she dedicated time in THEIR day to ensure Jordan KNEW how important this man was to him. You could see the pain in the room. Jordan sang every word as he held on to Tiffany in the middle of that dance floor and as usual, I was crying so hard I couldn't see. I just prayed, "Please get 1 photo that isn't blurry, just one Lord."
Man....crying AGAIN!!! The bond between best friends isn't something you walk away from, you don't move on, you feel them differently.
To Jordan and Tiffany. I've gone round and round on what to say because of the tears that fall every time I think of what Tiffany did. As a wife, I want my husband to know that no matter what his pain is, I will feel it with him. I want him to know that I respect his feelings, emotions, love and memories. Tiffany, you gave Jordan something he never thought he'd have during his wedding....his best friend. For 3 1/2 minutes, his friend was right next to him on the most important day of his life. Remember the selflessness you showed one another on that night. When things get hard, run back to this very moment. Thank you for allowing us to laugh, cry and enjoy every moment of your day.
