Estes Park Proposal {Ryan & Jonetta}

Ryan reached out to September 3rd and asked if we would be available and interested in helping him propose to his girlfriend while they were in town for a friends wedding at the Pinery on The Hill in Colorado Springs.  Ryan mentioned they would be spending a few days in Estes Park and wanted to hike before all of the festivities began.  As we started chatting about his ideas, we both loved the idea of a sunrise surprise in the gorgeous, Rocky Mountain National Park!  Kris and I scouted Bear Lake days before Ryan and Jonetta were set to arrive and helped plan everything down to the last detail (see above image).

On September 16th, we received confirmation that he and Jonetta had arrived at the Stanley Hotel (where they were staying) and were set to do their sunrise hike.  An avid climber, Ryan was beyond excited to ask Jonetta to spend the rest of her life with him, surrounded by Colorado's incredible colors, amazing sunrise and the gentle whisper of the aspens!

As Kris and I arrived to capture this amazing moment, we were hit by the fact that landscape photographers were set in this perfect location that we scouted 5 days earlier.  Texting Ryan, hoping he had service, we quickly changed our game plan.  Even though the entire plan changed within moments, we were able to capture an incredible moment of pure love and joy between this sweet couple.

With a bottle of empty Dawn soap (an inside joke between them) and a gorgeous engagement ring, Ryan couldn't help but drop to one knee the moment they sat down.  Jonetta had no clue and was shocked to see her entire moment captured for the world to see.  As we raced against the freezing temps, Ryan and Jonetta were up for anything!

To Ryan & Jonetta: Thank you so much for trusting us to capture your memories.  Thank you for allowing us to be a character in your incredible story and thank you for allowing these moments to be forever written in time.  We loved getting to know you and can't wait to see what your future holds!
