Della Terra Mountain Chateau, Estes Park, CO

Della Terra Mountain Chateau is one of our favorite venues to photograph.  Nestled up against Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Della Terra gives you everything: mountain views, evergreens, aspens, Colorado wild flowers and a top of the line staff to make your day unforgettable.

Their honeymoons suites are amazing with "see-thru fireplaces, soaking tubs with romantic water features, walk-thru jetted showers and private balconies with hot tubs".  Della Terra truly gives brides and grooms, everything they could imagine for their wedding day preparation.

Just off the honeymoon suites, Della Terra offers a wonderful Salon for your stylist.  The team at Bella Capelli Hair Studio did an amazing job making Abbey's dream come true.  Not a single detail was overlooked and each of Abbey's girls looked incredible. 

The moment a bride starts preparing to get in her dress is so incredible to photograph.  This is the moment, as photographers, we get to see the incredible bond the family has.  As Abbey started getting dressed, her mom was glowing with joy, thoughts of the day, Abbey's soon to be husband and her happiness was contagious.  She had me laughing, crying and smiling all day!

Then comes the moment when Abbey's dad is able to see his daughter for the first time.  The one he held as a baby is no longer a little girl, but a gorgeous woman.  Today is the day he will walk his little girl down the isle to a man who will forever take care of her.

Kris and I can't imagine how hard, yet incredibly happy this day is for a parent as our little guys are only 2 and 4, but it doesn't mean we don't smile from ear to ear and cry with the family.

With Vail, Beavercreek, Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride, Steamboat and Estes Park as incredible destination locations in Colorado, you truly can't go wrong.  At Della Terra, you simply get lost in the incredible surroundings of the Rocky Mountains and within 20 minutes, you can make your way to the peek of Rocky Mountain National Park for breath taking images.  Needless to say, Estes Park should be one of the top locations to have your destination wedding.

One of our favorite moments during a wedding is the first look.

For the longest time, Kris and I agreed that seeing each other at the alter was the best way to do it, until we started photographing weddings full time.  Why, you might ask!

When we have a couple completely alone, one-on-one together, the anticipation of seeing each other is incredible.  We have two people standing together without 100+ people watching their reaction.  Two people completely in love, free to touch each other, hug, kiss and truly enjoy this moment, alone.  Once their first look is over and the ceremony starts, you simply can't wipe the smile off of either the bride or groom because they know how amazing their partner looks and can't wait to be married.

Although we capture incredible images as a bride is walking down the isle to her soon-to-be husband, the moment moves right into the ceremony.  Once the ceremony has ended the groom is finally able to say to his bride how amazing she looks and truly hold her.

This first look is was so emotional as they laughed, cried and spoke words of adoration before seeing each other.

A family friend, Pam Liebl is a talented designer and when she and Angie (Abbey's mom) got together to help plan Abbey's wedding, the vision created, was simply breathtaking!  When Angie told me they were going with a chic vintage feel, we were very excited, but never imagined how incredible the details would be!!

After it was all said and done, Jordan and Abbey truly had a fairytale wedding.  The weather was incredible, their venue was breathtaking and they were surrounded by God, family and friends.  What more could you pray for?
